Buy Tickets Online

Good news — through a special arrangement with ZoopTix, an Annapolis company, you can buy tickets online for all Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre productions.

Buying on line offers several advantages:

  • You don’t have to arrive early to pick up and pay for your tickets. Seating is guaranteed.
  • You avoid the “crush” at the box office. Online tickets are picked up at a special, faster will-call table right up to curtain time.
  • There’s no cash or check transaction required on the night of the performance.

Our online ticket site provides details about each show and performance dates. Order tickets online through ZoopTix; its quick and easy. Once there, you select your performance date and number of seats, then pay for your tickets by credit card. An e-mail confirmation is then sent to you.

Of course, you can still reserve your seats by calling 410-268-9212 any time, day or night. To guarantee your seating, you must pay for your tickets by 8 p.m. on the evening of your reservation. Tickets not claimed by 8 p.m. may be sold to those on the stand-by list. We accept cash and checks only at the Box Office. We do not accept credit cards.

We have made changes to our ticket pricing policy for 2010. Tickets for all performances for the 2010 season are $18 each, regardless of age or student standing. That being said, there are a number of ways that patrons may obtain a $3 discount on their tickets.

In advance, by mail:

  • You may purchase season tickets, which provide one ticket to each of our three performances, for $45.00 each.
  • You may buy individual gift certificates, each of which can be exchanged for one ticket to one performance, for $15.00 each.

At the box office:

  • You may pre-form a group of ten or more patrons attending the same performance and place a reservation for them. When you pay for the tickets for this group reservation at the box office, they must be paid in one transaction by one person, at $15.00 per patron.
  • You may obtain a discount by dining with one of our restaurant partners in our Eats & Seats program. Turn in the detailed restaurant receipt (not the charge slip that only shows the total) at the box office and you may purchase a ticket for $15.00 for each entrée listed on the receipt.

Please note that only one discount opportunity may be applied to each ticket. The minimum price for any ticket is $15.00. Discounted tickets are currently not available online.

Tickets for specific show dates for all shows are available beginning on April 1 each year. Season tickets or gift certificates (open-dated tickets) are available beginning on November 15th for the following summer. They make wonderful holiday gifts!

Curtain time for all performances is 8:30p.m.

To purchase season tickets or gift certificates, please send a check, made payable to ASGT, to ASGT Box Office, 143 Compromise Street, Annapolis, MD 21401. We will mail the tickets or certificates to you.

Children ages 5 and older are welcome as patrons; parents/guardians should determine beforehand that the subject matter is appropriate. Children under age 5 cannot be admitted to the theatre.

The box office is open from 7p.m. to 9p.m. on every performance night for sales of tickets for any evening’s performance.

Rain Out Policy:
Because our theatre is outdoors, we must sometimes cancel a performance if it is actively raining or if the conditions are dangerous. If a performance is rained out and you have already purchased a ticket, you can:

  • Reschedule for another performance of the current show or another show in the future. You must make a new seat reservation and then exchange your rain-out ticket for the later performance.
  • Request a refund. Refunds must be made by mail and are not available for tickets purchased online (exchanges only). Mail your ticket(s) and a self-addressed envelope to ASGT Box Office, 143 Compromise Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.

Directions

Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre is located at 143 Compromise Street, directly across from the City Dock on Annapolis’s historic waterfront and just steps from the Historic Annapolis Foundation’s Museum Store building. The most likely approach for out-of-towners is via Rte. 50.

  • Exit MD Rte 50 at Rowe Boulevard toward Annapolis.
  • Drive across Weems Creek and College Creek.
  • Stay right onto an unlabeled street.
  • Follow the signs for the Visitors Center.
  • The street will come to a stoplight, proceed through the light onto Northwest Street, past the Visitors Center, to the light at Church Circle.
  • Turn right onto Church Circle, then right onto Duke of Gloucester Street.
  • Turn left onto Green Street and follow it to the stop sign.
  • Turn right and stay right onto Compromise Street for approximately 300 feet.

For those of you arriving by water, we invite you to hone in on North 38º 58.616" x West 76º 29.208"

Parking

Our location in the heart of downtown Annapolis is, at times, a mixed blessing. It’s a wonderful environment, right on the harbor in an historic setting. But it is also very busy, especially on summer weekends.

Parking in Annapolis can be somewhat challenging, but there are a number of options, especially if you arrive early. This will give you plenty of time to locate parking, pick up your tickets before 8 p.m., and enjoy the wonderful sights and sounds of Maryland’s capital. Or you may wish to sample one of the dozens of downtown restaurants before the show.

There is a Board of Education-owned parking lot located directly adjacent to the theatre (it fills up early). Parking is $10 for the evening, and you will be provided with a tax-deductible receipt.

The city maintains a parking garage within a short distance of the theatre. Enter from Duke of Gloucester Street or Main Street. If the sign indicates that the lot is full, you may get a space by waiting a few minutes until cars have left the garage. There’s another garage off Church Circle on Northwest Street; it’s a pleasant walk from there down Main Street to the theatre. Fees are nominal for in-town parking lots.

Metered parking is available on many of the streets in the neighborhood around the theatre. Be sure to note the hours of operation and the maximum stay — many meters are restricted to 2 hours a day, and restrictions run until midnight. If the signs say do not park, please do not park. Your car may be towed.

There is also metered parking directly across the street from the theatre. But on Friday and Saturday nights, it converts to public valet parking instead of metered parking. The valet parking fee is $6 per hour, with a maximum of $18.00.

Keep in mind that you have a wonderful reward to look forward to — an enchanting night in Summer Garden! Your best bet is to arrive early and enjoy a total Annapolis experience!

Eats & Seats

Great news! ASGT has partnered with eight of Annapolis’s finest restaurants to bring you discounts on both your dining and theatergoing pleasures. It doesn’t matter where you begin . . . eat first and earn your seat discount, or see a performance first and then enjoy your restaurant experience.

When you dine at any of our Eats & Seats restaurant partners, you can earn discounts on regularly scheduled Summer Garden performances – any evening during the 2010 season. Here’s how:

  • Present your detailed receipt (not your credit card slip) from the participating restaurant to the ASGT Box Office.
  • Earn a $3.00 discount on each regular priced ticket (up to 4) for each entrée shown on that receipt.

You will have to surrender your restaurant receipt at time of ticket purchase. Restaurant receipts dated May 1, 2010 through September 5, 2010 are eligible and must be redeemed for performances during the 2010 ASGT Season. Tickets must be purchased at the box office, not on line, to earn Eats & Seats discounts.

~OR ~

After you’ve attended an ASGT 2010 performance, you can receive a discount when you dine at any of our Eats & Seats restaurant partners. Here’s how:

  • Present your used ticket stub(s) from any 2010 ASGT season performance.
  • Earn a $3.00 discount on a regular priced entrée (up to 4) for each ticket stub presented.

You will have to surrender your ticket stubs at the time of dining. Ticket stubs from any 2010 performance are eligible and must be redeemed not later than September, 2010.
